Are you ready to party? If so, COMPOUND is the answer for you! Monstercat HQ in Railtown will host a FREE block festival! It will take place on Saturday, August 24th to celebrate the local Vancouver community, providing a stage for local companies and performers. And who is MONSTERCAT HQ? Monstercat is a record label situated firmly in the eclectic neighborhood of Railtown shaping the music industry worldwide. Releasing chart-topping records, signing international artists and hosting stages at the biggest festivals in the world, all done from Vancouver!


WHAT’S ON

Get ready for two stages of music, merch, food and drinks, beer gardens, music education, live art, gaming and more! This is an all-ages and family event, with something for everyone.  Compound introduces some of electronic music’s most promising talents, including BC artists Drezo, Conro, Tails, and LA-based Grant, and Disero.

 

In addition to performances from Monstercat, there will be tons of other activities! Fans will enjoy both the Main Stage performances and the best underground sounds on the Groundwerk Stage powered by MusicBC.  Local artists will put their spin on the Monstercat mascot. Visitor can also enjoy exciting video games with a musical twist and music education. The list of activities just keeps going and it also includes carnival activities, merch and food & drinks. Compound also offers festival-goers the unique opportunity to put together some beats of their own! Stop by the Nimbus School of Recording’s Mobile Sound Studio, play around with some of the best software on the market from Abelton or test out the some hardware at Pioneer DJ and Roland.

 

HOW TO GET TO COMPOUND 

It’s super easy to get to the festival, too! Enter the festival site at the Dunlevy x Railway St intersection within walking distance from:

 

  • Waterfront Railway Station is just a 15 minute walk away
  • Stadium Chinatown Station is just a 19 minute walk away
  • Bus routes: 095, 4, 7, 20, 14 and 16 all run nearby

 

However, the best way to get to the festival would be on your bike! Take your bike for a ride and cycle to Compound. Bike racks will be available and to plan your route click HERE.

 

Compound takes place outside Monstercat HQ @ 380 Railway Street, Vancouver in the dynamic Railtown neighbourhood between 2 pm and 9 pm. Don’t forget to RSVP here to get your free ticket!
